Hi, I'm Noemi — an artist, educator, designer, and researcher based in Texas.
My career hasn't followed a single path, and I've come to see that as a strength. I spent more than a decade teaching visual arts before expanding into UX design and research, earning my master's in UX Design from the Maryland Institute College of Art.
That journey led me to product teams at American Airlines and IBM, where I worked across product design, UX research, usability testing, information architecture, and human-centered design.
Today, I'm back in the art classroom while continuing my own creative practice. Whether I'm developing an artwork, designing a learning experience, conducting research, or helping students solve a visual problem, I'm drawn to work that combines creativity, curiosity, and thoughtful problem-solving.
This site is a home for the different parts of that journey — and for the work I've created along the way.
